“Private Armies” is an anti-authoritarian track from 1981, composed by journalist/writer/musician Vivien Goldman. It explores male fragility disguised as abusive power, with lyrics that include “Little Boys like Dressing up in Uniform. If the heavy metal boys / Or the boys in blue / Don’t like the look of you / You’d better watch out”. Listen to the song here and know her here.
