This shirt mixes As Três Marias (The Three Marias — Maria Isabel Barreno, Maria Teresa Horta, and Maria Velho da Costa), authors of Novas Cartas Portuguesas, a 1972 feminist work censored in Portugal for its “immoral content”, with The Red Krayola’s 1980 track “Born in Flames”.
Sung by X-Ray Spex’s Lora Logic, the song inspired the magnificent dystopian docufiction film by Lizzie Borden.
These shirts are one-offs (no more sizes). Please double-check before you buy!
Screen-printed on JHK and Gildan, using water-based Pearl White ink.
